Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This website is operated by True Blends Ltd, trading as REAL BLENDS.
Registered in England and Wales, company number 17406481
Registered office: 843 Finchley Road, London, NW11 8NA, United Kingdom
Email: hello@realblends.com
True Blends Ltd is the "data controller" for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide why and how it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use realblends.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website only. If you buy our products from a retailer, that retailer handles your information under its own privacy policy, not ours.
3. Our products are for adults only
REAL BLENDS products contain nicotine and are intended only for adults aged 18 or over who already smoke or vape. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, email hello@realblends.com and we will delete it.
4. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete the contact form on our Contact page, we collect:
Your first name and last name — so we know who we are replying to
Your email address — so we can reply to your enquiry
Your message — so we can understand and answer your question
All four fields are required. You do not have to use the form; you can email us directly at hello@realblends.com instead.
If you contact us about stocking or distributing our products, we may also collect the business information you choose to share, such as your company name, your role and a telephone number.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, some information is collected automatically:
Technical information about your browser, device and network, including your IP address
Which pages you visited, when, how long you stayed and which site referred you
Approximate location, derived from your IP address at country or city level
Some of this is necessary to serve the website securely. The rest is analytics, and we only collect it if you accept analytics cookies.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use them in two categories.
Essential cookies
These are always set, because the site cannot work securely without them. They do not require your consent.
crumb — set by Squarespace. Protects our forms against cross-site request forgery.
ss_performanceCookiesAllowed and ss_marketingCookiesAllowed — set by Squarespace. Remember the cookie choices you made on the banner, so we do not ask you again on every page.
Analytics and performance cookies
These are only set once you accept them using the banner shown when you first visit the site. If you decline, they are not set at all.
ss_cvr and ss_cvt — set by Squarespace. Recognise returning visitors and measure visits to the site.
_ga and _ga_70XLP0KKYP — set by Google Analytics. Distinguish one visitor from another and measure how the site is used.
You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences control on the site. Cookie names and durations can change as our providers update their services; if you would like the current detail at any time, email us and we will tell you.
6. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. Ours are:
To reply to your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — running our business and responding to people who get in touch with us.
To handle trade, wholesale and distribution enquiries. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — developing our commercial relationships.
To measure how the website is used so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
To keep the website secure and working properly. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — protecting our site and the people who visit it.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it to anyone.
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with providers who help us run the website and our business, and only so that they can do that job:
Squarespace Inc. — hosts this website and stores contact form submissions on our behalf
Google LLC — provides Google Analytics, and provides our business email through Google Workspace
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, by a regulator, or by a court order.
8. Where your information is held
Our providers are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
9. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
Contact form enquiries and email correspondence — up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless it relates to an ongoing commercial relationship
Analytics data — as set in our Google Analytics account, currently 14 months
Anything we must keep by law — for as long as the relevant law requires
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Be told what personal information we hold about you and why
Access a copy of it
Correct it if it is wrong or incomplete
Ask us to delete it, in certain circumstances
Restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances
Object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests
Portability — receive certain information in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it, including for analytics cookies
To exercise any of these, email hello@realblends.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right ourselves first.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on this page.
